Artist

Jackie has been painting from a very young age, winning the Japanese International Bronze Award at the tender age of eight in 1990. This was the start of Jackie's creativity & her love for painting grew. At eighteen she won a place at ARTEXPRESS Sydney, an annual exhibition of artworks created by students from government & non-government schools for the Higher School Certificate Examination in Visual Arts & had her work shown at the College of Fine Art - University of NSW.

She attended the National Art School (Sydney) & Byam Shaw School of Art (London) graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors of Fine Art. After graduating, she assisted with the restoration of Sir Anthony Caro's ceramic sculptures. Since then she has painted many commissions & has sold the majority of her work. She paints with the style of Fauvism. Her work is playful, energetic, bright & thick with texture, depicting mainly of sea & landscapes. Jackie is inspired by Chaim Soutine, Maurice de Vlaminck, André Derain, Henri Matisse & Paul Gauguin. For further information please contact Jackie.
